Learn to make your own goat milk soap by hand.
This session will introduce you to soap making procedures required to make soap from scratch using a recipe (formulations are not discussed).
We will demonstrate how to make a batch of soap, covering:
- The History of Making Soap from Scratch
- Basic Soap Chemistry
- Safety Precautions working with Lye (sodium hydroxide)
- Measuring and Mixing
- Soap Molds, Liners and other Necessary Equipment
- Demonstration of Making Soap
- Essential Oils andFragrances
You will make your first batch of soap, which you will take home for cutting later after it dries.
You will make 9 bars of soap. Light Beverages and snacks provided. 18 y/o and over.
The cost is $68 per person. Class is 2 hours. Class is held at our 2591 Clyde Ave Production Facility.
